If you are voting for the first time and are not sure which legislative district you belong to, click on NJ Legislature’s Municipalities Index for an alphabetical listing of every municipality in New Jersey with its corresponding legislative district. Once you know your district number, you can visit the Legislative Roster to see who your Senator and Assemblymen are and learn how they have voted on issues that are important to you. You might also want to visit Vote NJ’s Candidate Comparison page for a look at this year’s candidates. Just find your district number and click on the Compare the Candidates tab to see where your candidates stand on a variety of issues. You can even click directly through to a candidate’s website for further information. Vote NJ is not a government-run site. It is hosted and maintained by Vote-USA, LLC, a private non-charitable organization dedicated to helping citizens become informed voters. Its About Us page states that all information on the site was obtained from various state election authorities, the candidates themselves, or from their staff or websites.
